Expressive!
Internship Designs
The year 2021 came with lots of ups and downs for everyone, including me. However, one very positive thing that happened for me was that I was given the opportunity to work with Ms. Jeannette Grace, owner of Expressive! Communication Consulting and Training. During my internship with Ms. Grace, I was tasked with working on various forms of media for her self-promotion and branding. I also created a variety of useful templates for her to use in multiple ways, and introduced me to the world of video editing. This internship taught me a great deal about perseverance and drive. I want to offer a very special “thank you” Ms. Jeannette Grace, the woman behind Expressive! Communication Consulting and Training for giving me this opportunity and teaching me to believe in myself.
Jeannette Grace One Pager
The Challenge
To create a fun, energetic one-pager about Jeannette Grace and her achievements. The document needed to include all topics and explanations, as well as a mockup for her book. Also required, all socials and a QR code. All must be completed while staying on brand.
The Concept
In order to fit all the information required, I had to use very specific spacing and utilize a set grid that could hold all of the information. The colors were specifically chosen from the cover of her book, "G factor: 8 Secrets to Increasing Your Gravitational Pull at Work," although I changed the opacity to fit the colors together nicely.
PowerPoint Slide Show Template
The Challenge
To create a business forward Powerpoint template, containing multiple types of slides.
The Concept
For this project I felt the need to produce two different types of slides: one playful; and one business-formal, keeping theme with the use of the shapes from the one-pager (above), as well as thematically connected to future projects. Sticking with brand colors, I felt it was important to make sure that the text on the slides would stand out, hence the use of a light or dark background with lighter text. Clearly, keeping on-brand was the most important element. However, maintaining interest by showing more design throughout the slides was also essential.
Client Sheets and Testimonials
The Challenge
To create a clear, and organized template for testimonials and client projects.
The Concept
For this task, I wanted to maintain the brand guidelines, yet branch out by incorporating the shapes used in the slideshow template. Keeping the design strong and sophisticated was my goal. The circle theme was mimicked from the logo, (which is a circle,) and I added corresponding shapes to show movement.
Informative Videos
The Challenge
In the beginning, this was one of the most difficult projects I had ever undertaken, because I had never worked with video content. After watching many tutorials, and a lot of experimenting, I decided to use the same shapes and continue to expand the brand guidelines (theme or tone?). Making these shapes move was the most challenging part. Then, incorporating music and sound effects brought the intros and outros to life.
The Concept
To create short informative videos, by piecing together multiple video segments that were cut from full-length webinars.
